Tasha Banks

Hair Stylist

My name is Tasha Banks. Toledo, born and raised.  Alumni of E. L. Bowsher, class of 2006! I never thought I would be doing hair and now I am following in the footsteps of my mother, Marla Banks-Oden. I’ve been around hair stylists for 31 yrs. and I can definitely say, “it’s in my blood”! Lol, her clients would call us “the beauty shop kids”….

In November of 2008 I decided to migrate to Detroit, MI. In March of 2009 I attended cosmetology school at Virginia Farrell of Beauty in Ferndale, MI. The rest is history. The passion that was instilled in me from a young child rose up and took effect.

Back then I had my ups and downs being a hairstylist, I ended up working in several salons…

My feet crossed paths with Rob Willis in Detroit, Mi. When that happened my determination to up my skills game and put my capabilities to the test took off. Since then, I have been soaking up knowledge about the hair game and putting it to good use.

I am now currently licensed and working in two states, Michigan and Ohio. My specialty skills are natural hair and chemically enhanced hair. I am a color and cut specialist, I braid, and do well with other protective styles. “I love the kids”, and am willing to service their hair as well.
